Motor City Pick Necklace – Dual Drift Fordite Pendant
Decades of Detroit automotive paint, layered and polished into a one-of-a-kind wearable relic.
The Motor City Pick Necklace features genuine fordite, also called Detroit agate, salvaged from old car factory spray booths where layers of automotive paint built up over years of production. Each piece is hand-cut and hand-polished by The Swanky Dale in Ball Ground, Georgia to reveal the stacked color history trapped inside. This Dual Drift pattern shows a striking two-sided flow: the left side features tight, parallel waves of white, charcoal, and slate blue, while the right side shifts into organic, molten swirls marked by deep navy, grey, and maroon accents. Order meets chaos. The fordite rests on a hand-sawed recycled copper backplate shaped like a guitar pick, the signature silhouette of this collection. Set on hypoallergenic surgical-grade stainless steel chain that won't tarnish or fade. One of a kind, never to be repeated.

Care Instructions
The hypoallergenic stainless steel chain requires no maintenance and won't tarnish. The fordite stone may dull slightly over time with wear. To restore its shine, gently buff with automotive polish or a soft polishing cloth. The recycled copper backplate will develop a natural patina over time, adding character and depth.
