Pressed for Paisley Cuff – Handforged Recycled Copper Paisley Bracelet
Paisley, pressed into the copper. Not printed on top of it.
A flat sheet of 99.9% recycled copper goes through under pressure until the teardrops, swirls and little starbursts are sunk into the metal itself. The pattern runs edge to edge with nothing left plain, and because it's in the surface rather than on it, there's no print to wear thin and no coating to peel at the corners. It will still be there in thirty years.
The color is the part that surprises people. Darkened by hand and stopped early, so instead of going flat brown the surface keeps shifting. Teal, lavender, copper rose, a little green where the light catches. Turn your wrist and it changes. We can press this paisley again. We can't make this cuff again, because the color lands where it lands and we don't get a vote.
An inch and a half tall, and handforged by The Swanky Dale in Ball Ground, Georgia. It is not a subtle bracelet and it isn't trying to be.

Sizing. Cuffs are measured at the wrist, not the hand, because they go on sideways and bend to fit. Like all our cuffs, this one is made to fit a 7" wrist, and since it's open at the back you can ease it a little wider or narrower with your hands. That range covers most people comfortably. Work the whole curve rather than bending one spot. Full instructions are in our sizing guide.
Care Instructions. Wash it, don't polish it. The color here is a thin layer living in the surface of the bare metal with no seal over the top, so water is no threat at all. Use a soft toothbrush, a drop of Dawn dish soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly and dry completely, because water left sitting on copper is what starts the next round of tarnish. What will undo it is abrasion. Polishing cloths, metal polish, jewelry dip, steel wool and scouring pads strip the teal and the lavender off the raised paisley and leave plain copper behind, and that one is permanent. The high points will soften a little as you wear it while the color stays down in the pressed lines. That's the pattern getting deeper, not fading. More in our copper care guide, or see care by material.
Paisley reads dressed up or dressed down depending on what it's sitting next to, which is most of why we like it. Wear it on its own and let it do the talking, or stack it with the Copper Bangle Set if you want a fuller wrist. A good gift for anyone who leans toward pattern over plain, or who's been after real metal instead of plated.
Handforged in the USA. Small batch, by hand, start to finish.
